Mystic Sort Privacy Policy

Mystic Sort ("the app", "we", "us") is a potion-sorting puzzle game published by Snail Pixel. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and honest: the game is designed to be fully playable as a guest, and signing in is always optional.

1. Playing as a guest

You can play without creating an account. Your progress, stars, XP and settings are stored on your device. To support cross-device progress and leaderboards, the app also creates a random guest ID (not linked to your name or email) and syncs your game progress to our server under that ID. You can play entirely offline; syncing only happens when a connection is available.

2. Optional account (sign-in)

If you choose to sign in with Google or email and password, authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. In that case we receive and store your account identifier (UID), email address and, if provided, a display name. This lets us tie your progress to your account so it follows you across devices.

3. Game data we store on our server

• Level progress, completed levels, stars, best moves and best times
• XP, rank and daily-challenge results and streaks
• Leaderboard entries (your display name or guest label plus your score)
• The guest ID and, if you signed in, your account identifier and email

Our backend runs on a private server with the database hosted on MongoDB Atlas.

4. Advertising

The app shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and process device information such as a device advertising identifier, IP address and general ad-interaction data, in line with Google's advertising policies. Depending on your region and consent, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. We do not receive your advertising identifier ourselves.

5. How we use data

• To run the game and save and restore your progress
• To provide leaderboards, ranks and daily challenges
• To sync progress across devices when you sign in
• To display ads that keep the game free

We do not sell your personal data.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your game data while your account or guest profile is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us (see Contact). We will remove your player record, level results and leaderboard entries. Data stored only on your device is removed when you clear the app data or uninstall the app.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

9. Children

Mystic Sort is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
